The Conflict Archive on the INternet (CAIN) is a great source of background information about the Northern Ireland conflict from 1968 to the present. Believe me, there's more happening than you get off of the 10 o'clock news. As we are seeing once again here in the states, the 'good guys' (which both sides invariably believe themselves to be) are often capable of just as much injustice as the 'bad guys' (which everyone agrees means 'the other guys').
